Free Community Event for: Parents, Educators, Clergy, Friends & Family open to anyone with base access.
LUNCH PROVIDED
There are more adolescents abusing drugs and alcohol than ever before. Teens are going to school high, getting high at school, and going home high. Teens are very good at hiding their addiction and sometimes it can be difficult to determine if he/she has been using.
The illegal drugs that are being used today are not the same drugs that were used in the 60's, 70's, and even the 80's. Learn how to spot, prevent, and intervene with the usual suspects (alcohol & marijuana), and the new kids on the block (synthetic pot "Spice" and methamphetamine "Bath Salts"), and the alarming rise in both prescription drug abuse and IV heroin use among adolescents in the Southern United States.
